Frequently Asked Questions
How does telehealth work?
All sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA‑compliant platform. You can join from your phone, tablet, or computer. No downloads, no complicated setup, just a private, convenient appointment wherever you feel most comfortable.
Can I use my insurance for reimbursement?
Yes. We can provide a superbill upon request. You may submit it to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we encourage checking with your insurer about reimbursement first.
What ages do you treat?
We currently treat ages 13 and up.
What if I don't want to rely on medication long-term?
In most cases, medication does not have to be a long-term commitment. Some people use it short-term to stabilize symptoms, improve sleep, or get through a difficult season. Others choose or require long-term medication support. We will make decisions together based on your goals, comfort level, and progress.
What conditions don't you treat?
As a virtual clinic, we can not treat serious mental health disorders such as schizophrenia spectrum disorders, mania, and severe substance abuse. Serious mental health disorders often require higher‑level, in‑person care, crisis resources, and collaborative treatment teams. Telehealth alone cannot safely or effectively meet those needs, and your wellbeing is our priority.
What are Single Session appointments?
Single-session appointments are one-time, targeted visits designed to provide acute treatment for situational anxiety, stress, or insomnia. They're ideal for individuals who want immediate support without the need for ongoing treatment.
Do you offer same-day or next-day appointments?
Yes. We reserve openings for clients who need timely, high-access care, including same-day or next-day availability when possible. This is one of the benefits of concierge practice.
Do you accept insurance for appointments?
No, we are a self-pay practice. By not accepting insurance, we remove the administrative burden and restrictions placed by insurance companies that often dictate patient care. This allows us to spend more time with you and provide care tailored exactly to your needs.
Many clients still use their insurance for medications at their pharmacy.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Once your screening call and first appointment are complete, you will then be able to self-schedule appointments through our secure online portal.
What if I'm scared to start psychiatric medication?
It is completely normal to feel nervous about starting medication. . Medication should be utilized as a tool, not a label. There are also many alternatives to psychotropic medication.
